Ms Tina Mendis, Head of Sustainable Livelihoods and Empowerment oversees TLMTI’s six Vocational Training Centres catering to institutional and community-based livelihoods. She is in-charge of skills building of people with leprosy and disability, and several community development interventions spread over eight states of India. She has over 20 years of experience in leprosy, disability and development with expertise in rights, education and skill development, livelihoods and community empowerment for inclusion of marginalised communities. Tina has contributed to social research, evaluations and project development and has networked with major international and national agencies.
We work with individuals and communities disadvantaged by leprosy, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, by addressing their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs to uphold human dignity and eradicate leprosy.
