Dr Shyamala Anand is Head of TLMTI’s Learning and Development function. She has contributed to TLMTI being a learning organisation by bringing learning to the forefront as a key component of TLMTI programme, making learning processes simple and user-friendly and a way of life. She has built team expertise in project development to sustain the leprosy work of TLMTI through packaging the various issues of leprosy to fit institutional funder priorities. Shyamala has also built team expertise in monitoring and evaluation in TLMTI, particularly in thematic areas of leprosy expertise areas (e.g., POID and Reconstructive surgery) and in data collection, analysis and reporting of trends within TLMTI programme which have contributed to learning, new project development and research. She has over 25 years of experience in clinical leprosy and as an ophthalmologist, continues to train and mentor medical officers and ophthalmologists in ocular leprosy and to operate.
We work with individuals and communities disadvantaged by leprosy, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, by addressing their physical, mental, social and spiritual needs to uphold human dignity and eradicate leprosy.
